Who we are
Sorvantic is a digital studio based in Nairobi, Kenya, business number BN-XXXXXXX. We decide how the personal data described here is used, which makes us the data controller under Kenya’s Data Protection Act 2019. Contact us at hamzanurie@sorvantic.com about anything in this policy.
What we collect
- Details you send us through our forms, WhatsApp, phone or email: your name, organisation, phone number, email address and what you tell us about your project.
- Details needed to deliver and invoice your project, such as billing contacts and payment references.
- Basic, anonymous website statistics, such as pages visited and the type of device used.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quotation.
- To deliver, invoice and support the work you hire us for.
- To meet our legal and tax obligations.
We don’t sell your data, add you to a mailing list without asking, or use it for advertising.
Our legal basis
We rely on your consent when you contact us, on our contract with you when we deliver a project, and on legal obligation for tax and accounting records.
Data in client projects
When we work on your website, spreadsheets or reports, we may handle personal data that belongs to your organisation, such as customer, pupil or beneficiary records. In that case we act on your instructions only, work on the minimum data needed, keep it encrypted, and delete our working copies when the project ends. We can sign a data processing or confidentiality agreement on request.
Who we share it with
Only the services we need to run the business, such as our email provider, website host and accounting software, and only as far as needed. Some of these services may store data outside Kenya; where they do, we use providers with appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don’t become projects are deleted after 12 months. Project and invoice records are kept for seven years to meet tax requirements.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent at any time. Email hamzanurie@sorvantic.com and we’ll respond within 14 days. If you’re not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.

Our website uses only the cookies it needs to work and privacy-friendly statistics. If we add any other cookies, we’ll ask for your consent first.
Changes to this policy
We’ll update this page if our practices change and show the date of the latest version at the top.
